In my research I implement a multiscale material model of paperboard, aimed at capturing characteristic behavior such as anisotropy and viscoelasticity. Given an accurate model, the multiscale framework allows for a deeper understanding of the influence of microscopic properties, such as fiber-fiber bond strength, on the overall material behavior.
